Scheduling Coordinator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner;
- Follow up on internal and external customer questions or issues;
- Schedule interviews for Loan Consultants and Loan Processors;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Schedules diagnostic tests, procedures and surgeries and may provide patient with necessary preparation instructions;
- Reports all complaints and/or problems related to off hour issues (answering service) or On-call;
- Reports staff who service clients outside the scheduled times without notification to the office;
- Submits written time requests 2 weeks or more in advance of planned time off;
- Prints and distributes weekly accurate schedules;
- Complies with all department specific policies and procedures;
- Takes incoming referrals without delay;
- Participates in the QA Committee & orientation process as requested;
- Opens all staff requests within 48 hours of receipt;
- Identifies and reports problems to the Scheduling Supervisor or Manager;
- Actively works to encourage departmental growth (networking).
Requirements:
- Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines;
- Knowledge of general healthcare staffing requirements;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Minimum of two years in a staffing and/or recruiting position;
- Must have a good memory with the ability to multi-task;
- Ability to work efficiently and independently;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Previous data entry, customer service, and phone skills experience required;
- FSA or HSA options;
- Outstanding customer service skills;
- Must pass background check;
- High school graduate or equivalent;
- Outstanding follow up skills;
- Must be able to follow a defined list of tasks and follow the established procedures completing them in a timely fashion;
- Must have a criminal background check.
