Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis/special projects to assist management in understanding business performance;
- Analyze actual results in order to understand variances and revise projections as appropriate;
- Create and manage improvements to financial reporting templates, current reporting hierarchy and general FP&A related business practices;
- Ensure reporting systems and source data are accurate and reconciled including supporting accounting with variance analysis;
- Create, promote and sustain a high-performance culture; continuously raise the performance bar for the finance organization;
- Maintain and coordinate group completion of financial review templates and meetings;
- Support internal and external financial and management reporting;
- Ensure accurate and timely production of internal management reporting and analyses, including scorecard/key performance metrics;
- Execute and consolidate quarterly forecasts with business units;
- Performs other related duties as assigned;
- Assist Chapters, Product Lines, and Departments with the preparation and review of financial plans, forecasts, and reporting;
- Develop ad-hoc analysis for the leadership team;
- Prepare and coordinate the annual operating budgets process and long-term financial plans;
- Prepare financial materials and coordinate monthly financial reviews with key stakeholders;
- Drive continuous improvement within the finance organization to streamline processes and improve visibility into performance.
