Associate Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Associate Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with environmental management system (EMS) and compliance program development;
- Analyze and evaluate proposals for alternate materials, methods of construction, and/or variances to fire safety codes and regulations;
- Assist with communications between clients and regulators;
- Develop business through marketing, existing client relationships, and networking;
- Maintains confidentiality at all times;
- Write compliance plans including Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans;
- Work onsite at client facilities in support of the client’s environmental, health and safety (EHS) program;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Participates in Company’s continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts;
- Perform technical project work in support of the Company’s environmental regulatory service’s programs;
- Performs other duties as assigned;
- Draft air permit applications and develop emission inventories;
- Assist the greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories and prepare reports;
- applicable NFPA standards and local ordinances;
- Conduct field inspections to ensure that the finished construction complies with approved plans.
Requirements:
- Interpreting engineering level drawings and bill of materials (BOM);
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Machining and tooling;
- Conducting First Article Inspections (FAI’s) with customer present;
- Fundamental understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T);
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Associated Engineer;
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in SAP;
- Releasing parts using Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN);
- Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods, general facts and information is necessary, usually acquired through training on the job;
- They must also be motivated, detail oriented and able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with minimal supervision;
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering;
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with communicating with suppliers and customers, internal and external;
- Extensive knowledge of welding codes and welding processes, as is hands on welding experience;
- Associates degree degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent engineering experience;
- Professional, administrative and technical knowledge in civil engineering design, project management, construction, and other relevant fields;
- Excellent verbal and written analytical/problem solving, communication, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills.
