Big Data Architect Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Big Data Architect to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Support projects/initiatives related to data acquisition, processing and utilization through Big Data Platform;
- Define Architecture standards, best practices and participate in governance activities during Big Data projects;
- Develop and maintain technical roadmap for Enterprise Big Data Platform for different platform capabilities;
- Research, evaluate and recommend tools for Enterprise Big Data Platform;
- Review business requirements and technical design documents to develop effective Big data solutions;
- Lead key business critical projects in the capacity of a Big Data Architect;
- Define and develop guidelines, standards, and processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
Requirements:
- Big Data-L2 (Mandatory);
- Develop database solutions to store and retrieve data required by our team;
- Coordinate with the researchers of our team to identify future needs and requirements;
- Master’s degree in scientific or analytic field and eight years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience;
- Ability to mentor, motivate and provide guidance to other team members on definitive tasks;
- Experience with current front (UI/UX) and back end (database, JSON, etc.) technologies;
- Proficiency in Python, object oriented programming languages and current knowledge of latest software and design standards;
- Google Cloud Platform-L2;
- Cloud-PaaS-GCP-Google Cloud Platform-L2;
- Document and communicate existing and new database schemas, using accepted notations;
- Design new conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts from existing database schemas.
