Our company is looking for a Database Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Strive to optimize the performance and cost of all systems related to the data warehouse;
  • Partner with leadership in the company to help support data-driven decision making;
  • Monitor performance and completion of ETL processes, constantly attempt to optimize and improve ETL operations;
  • Develop reliable ETL processes to bring company data sources into an OLAP-focused data warehouse optimized for analytics and dashboarding;
  • Ensure all systems related to the data warehouse are secure and that database backup and redundancy best practices are followed;
  • Work with Data Scientists and Business Intelligence Analysts to assess SQL jobs with an emphasis on optimization opportunities;
  • Develop overall dimensional model for the data warehouse;
  • Responsible for development and maintenance of company data dictionary as well as documentation of data warehousing architecture;
  • Ensure 99% uptime for data warehouse and scale warehouse systems as necessary to support demand and business growth;
  • Designing and implementing database and server security protocols;
  • Installing, configuring, upgrading and patching database, web server and application software;
  • Working with release staff to plan and deploy database and application code to production environments;
  • Managing and monitoring multiple development, test and production environments;
  • Triaging and resolving operational issues;
  • Working with development teams on system design and performance tuning.

Requirements:

  • Ability and experience leading agile Scrum projects;
  • Supervisory or management experience with direct reports;
  • Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards including PCI DSS, SOC-1&2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, ITAR, CJIS and FDA;
  • Cross-functional IT expertise (applications, information security, networking);
  • Experience with Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure solutions;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, math, or computer science (or similar degree);
  • Minimum 3 years prior work experience in similar position(s).
