IT Network Administrator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a IT Network Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional, timely and exception communication with internal and external contacts both written and oral;
- Collaborate with department personnel and ensure there are solutions for all client IT issues;
- Handle new hardware installations and OS configurations for servers and workstations;
- Monitor and Administer security of various systems;
- Proficient with Active Directory and all AD functions;
- Proficient with Group Policy;
- Provide end user support and training for operating system, hardware and applications;
- File system security and maintenance;
- Provide technical and functional documentation on the server environment as well as workstation configurations and specialized software usage;
- Coordinate, install, or modify office network cabling as needed;
- Proficient with DNS;
- Perform backups of servers and network systems;
- Monitor servers for performance, disk usage, and general maintenance;
- Provide advanced remote technical guidance, assistance and coordination to end-users for PC, server, network and hardware problems;
- Actively scan and monitor servers and workstations for malware.
Requirements:
- Windows PC, printer setup and configuration;
- Knowledge / Experience with Office 365 administration, user admin, SharePoint, Office Suite, etc;
- Data Programming/Processing using Winbatch, Simx, Visual Basic, VBScript, etc;
- Ability to learn new technology and software.
