Technical Artist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Technical Artist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Create and combine needed animation assets in UE4;
- Be comfortable with at least one 3D program (Maya preferred);
- Refine and maintain character physics assets;
- Look for optimization opportunities;
- Provide feedback for animation pipeline in DCC apps as well as UE4.
Requirements:
- C++ experience;
- Experience working with key frame and motion capture assets;
- Experience with Python or similar scripting environments;
- Professional UE4 experience working with character animation assets;
- Working knowledge of versioning software i.e. Git (preferred), Perforce, CVS, Alien Brain or similar;
- Familiar with particle systems (Unity or equivalent);
- Exposure to shader languages such as GLSL, ShaderLab, and Unity Shaders;
- Exposure to scripting languages such as C#, JS, Python;
- Minimum 1-3 years game development studio experience;
- Experience creating motion graphics, animations, and shaders (must have samples);
- General understanding of UI design and development in Unity;
- Proficient in Photoshop, Unity, 3DS Max;
- Experience working under tight deadlines.
