Concrete Foreman Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Concrete Foreman to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintenance efforts for and prevent abuse of all company equipment. Report misuse/abuse to immediate supervisor;
- Meet with Owner’s Representatives/Building Officials as required for proper completion and inspection of concrete work;
- Furnish and maintain trade tools as required and have available for use at all times;
- Review and clarify plans and specifications to trades personnel;
- Perform all related responsibilities for Concrete Finisher, Concrete Form setter or Concrete Form setter/Finisher positions;
- Assist in performance evaluations of concrete trade personnel;
- Review and interpret job-site plans and specifications and report inconsistencies or discrepancies to Superintendent or Project Manager;
- Calculate quantities and order designated on-site materials;
- Attend company and job site meetings, foremen meetings, safety tailgate meetings, and training seminars;
- Authorize and/or approve all construction field project personnel transactions, small purchase requisitions, field requests for information, etc;
- Interface in a professional manner with General Contractor and occasionally with customer and store patrons;
- Ability to operate skid steers and various machinery;
- Rub cement in with sponge-rubber float or burlap;
- Use groovers and hand trowels to spread concrete;
- Smooth out concrete in segments to ensure the concrete poured is level.
Requirements:
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools;
- Have the ability and knowledge to read prints;
- High standard of integrity and professionalism;
- Must be reliable and self-motivated;
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety;
- Drug free at all times.
