Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards;
- Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages while collaborating with other departments;
- Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs;
- Support the facility’s food safety and food quality programs to assure compliance and achieve desired results;
- Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices;
- Examine objects, systems or facilities and analyze information to determine needed repairs;
- Read electrical schematics;
- Work on electrical systems up to 480 VAC;
- Strong knowledge in motor control circuits, automated valves and process controls;
- Follow parts check out procedure;
- Complete PM’s as assigned;
- Hands on practical operation of and safe storage practices of ARC and MIG welding equipment to include; OXY/ACETYLENE, and PLASMA welding and cutting;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and complete projects on due dates;
- Train production and other maintenance personnel;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- PLC and electrical experience required;
- Journeyman card preferred;
- Two year technical degree preferred.
