Our company is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Installs special functional and structural components/equipment in production systems, devices and facilities;
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments which may include applying principles of pneumatics and hydraulics;
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements;
  • Adjust functional parts of press folding equipment requiring in depth understanding of folding operation and product delivery requirements;
  • Troubleshoots and repairs heat exchange equipment;
  • Troubleshoots instrumentation, controls (PLC, AC/DC variable speed drive), and electrical issues surrounding the operation of Production equipment;
  • Documents all work performed; complies with acceptable current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards;
  • Helps to attain “FUTURE” goals of the maintenance department and the facility by contributing ideas and suggestions;
  • Checks and inspects all equipment periodically to determine the need for repair or preventative maintenance;
  • Cleans and organizes work place to ensure both operating and safety conditions;
  • Contributes to the production of a quality product which requires quality equipment maintained and updated by the maintenance department;
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts;
  • Follows the lock out/tag out program;
  • Develops, performs and maintains a preventative maintenance program for all equipment and systems;
  • Execution of commissioning activities on mechanical equipment and systems.

Requirements:

  • Must have three years experience in a highly technical environment;
  • Must have a high school education and be able to read, write and perform mathematics at a level to be able to complete technical work;
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts and operating safety;
  • Basic knowledge of PLC operation;
  • Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools commonly used in electrical and mechanical trades;
  • Must be capable of climbing up and down a ladder/stairs several times per shift;
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus;
  • Working at heights of 10 feet or greater, operating lifting devices, and entering confined spaces;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Knowledge of various machine operations and production roles;
  • Willing to work any shift;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English;
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience;
  • Must be capable of standing for long periods of time. Mobility throughout the facility;
  • Employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted on occassion.
