Mechanic Technician I maintains and services mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. Performs skilled repair services of mechanical, electrical, and building systems and equipment. Being a Mechanic Technician I conducts periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair. Identifies parts needed for replacement and places orders as necessary. Responsibilities:
- Maintains compliance to the company ISO9001 Quality & Environmental Management Systems;
- Creates, organizes and compiles quality and rework instructions & PPAP documentation;
- Supports special projects, studies, tests and experiments requested by department management;
- Performs incoming piece part inspection: First Article Submissions and production when requested;
- Operate vehicle service and repair equipment with minimal guidance;
- Maintain and clean the work environment to ensure safe and operating area;
- Perform basic vehicle system repairs for steering, brake, suspension, electrical, and heating and air conditioning;
- Maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment;
- Set-up of other electro-mechanical hardware and test equipment;

- Complete factory training and certification programs as assigned by the service manager;
- Part and equipment Q/A, cleaning, test fixture set-up and dismantling;
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment;
- Computer system maintenance.
Requirements:
- A broad knowledge of test machines and instruments;
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly and tests;
- Strong automotive background Strong teamwork skills;
- Minimum of 2years experience as Mechanical Technician;
- Current PA State and Emissions License, preferred;
- Effective use of current technology and the learning and application of new technology;
- Prior experience with chassis electrical;
- PA State Safety and Emissions Certification;
- Other duties as assigned;
- 2+ years automotive experience-dealership a plus;
- Sitting;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in diesel mechanics;
- Knowledge of automotive equipment operation and care;
- Prior experience with fabrication;
- Prior experience with hydraulics.
