Our company is looking for a Network Operations Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing fault isolation, triaging, and repairing network events to ensure the health of our network;
  • Managing Trouble Tickets, Outage communications, and process escalations for internal and external customers;
  • Generating, driving, and updating Trouble Tickets via internal ticketing system;
  • Handling phone calls to respond to network alarms and events for proactive network monitoring;
  • Enhance automation through scripting and robotics process automation (RPA) to improve team functions and efficiency;
  • Maintain infrastructure monitoring system, perform daily audit and checks;
  • Root cause analysis of system/network incident and provide resolution;
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support off-hours;
  • Leverage automation tools to support deployment and maintenance of network and system settings in scale;
  • Incident response/resolving outages while maintaining communication with other team members and stakeholders;
  • Perform hardware troubleshooting and RMA;
  • Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes;
  • Mitigate risks, control costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated projects;
  • Provide technical support for the design, implementation, and integration of network changes and sustainment;
  • Perform various complex software development tasks.

Requirements:

  • Experience with ports and protocols;
  • MPLS configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience;
  • IPSEC configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience;
  • Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE or CCNA Security;
  • Experience troubleshooting and configuring IP networks using at least one of the following routing methods: BGP, ISIS or OSPF, Static routing;
  • Currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance or higher;
  • IPv6 configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience;
  • Crypto configuration, troubleshooting, and design experience;
  • Knowledge of local area network technologies and layer 2 network topologies;
  • Extensive network integration experience for a variety of network protocol standards;
  • Familiarization of DOD regulations and directives;
  • Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II/IT I level, Security+ CE or CCNA Security;
  • Currently possess an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance;
  • Layer 2/3 VPN and Firewall knowledge and experience;
  • Physical cable plant and wiring experience.
