Our company is looking for a Operations Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring system/service health and proactively identifying performance issues that could lead to service degradation or outage;
  • Shipments and documented according to site and client procedures;
  • Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested;
  • Troubleshoot operations failures and re-establish building services under minimal supervision;
  • Work with skilled HVAC Mechanics to support PM’s and work orders;
  • Manages contractors, including selection, scheduling and job assignments, appraisals and recognition;
  • Performs preventative maintenance tasks in a timely manner;
  • Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment;
  • Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed, using work order system;
  • May respond to inquiries and/or provide assistance and/or guidance to lower level workers;
  • Periodically acts as the on-call engineer for the portfolio of office buildings;
  • Actively participates in emergency response procedures, technical and safety training programs;
  • Collect and maintain Key Performance Indicator metrics for the HVAC dashboard;
  • Other assigned operational tasks as may be typically expected of the Building Engineer role;
  • Ability to work long hours occasionally and some weekends.

Requirements:

  • Shipments and documented according to site and client procedures;
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to professionally respond to tenant requests;
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in electrical, HVAC trade, including rooftop units;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Knowledge of maintenance and operation of building automation, water treatment and fire life safety systems;
  • Two or more years experience in commercial HVAC or related field;
  • CFC certification;
  • Familiarity with computers and operations and office automation applications, including Microsoft Office;
  • BS in Engineering or Scientific Field;
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in backup systems (generator and UPS);
  • Strong customer service orientation;
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution;
  • Good interpersonal and a positive team attitude;
  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
