Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned;
- Call requirement once fully staffed = 1:6;
- Administers anesthetics as required;
- Must function independently;
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills;
- Performs post-anesthesia duties in accordance with departmental policies;
- Assists in positioning patient on operating table, taking care to protect the patient from injury;
- Follows established infection control guidelines and reports safety hazards for immediate resolution;
- Improve the health of the people and communities we serve;
- Evaluates and prepares patients for required anesthetic to be administered;
- Reviews schedule and administers anesthesia to patients assigned;
- Induces anesthesia on direction of attending surgeon;
- No Heads or Hearts;
- Provides appropriate pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia management of the patient.
Requirements:
- Current license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa;
- BCLS required;
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Anesthesia for Nurses;
- Have current (or be eligible for) certification as CRNA;
- ACLS certification required within six months of employment;
- Complies with criteria for recertification;
- Experience preferred but not required.
