Our company is looking for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assistance with ADL’s and IADL’s;
  • Supervision of aides and other health care team members;
  • Administering oxygen by mask or cannula;
  • Provide educational in-services to enhance our associates’ knowledge, and for better quality ofservice to our residents;
  • The ability to multitask and demonstrate adequate time management skills is an integral function of this position;
  • Monitor transcription of medication orders onto MAR’s for accuracy;
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs;
  • Observe patients’ progress throughout treatment;
  • Performs laboratory procedures from specimen collections, as authorized;
  • Provides effective communication to patients/clients, their family members, team members, and other health care professionals;
  • Collect samples, such as urine, blood, and sputum from patients for testing and performs routine laboratory tests on samples;
  • Assist in preparation of nursing, MA and support staff schedules and assures that adequate coverage is provided to providers and clinic sessions;
  • Ensures patient weights are performed and documented for patients as ordered;
  • Effectively operates and troubleshoots commonly utilized equipment;
  • Participates in rounds when appropriate.

Requirements:

  • BONENT or CHT certification preferred or as required by state regulation;
  • IV certification required if required by state regulations;
  • Current license by the State Board of Nursing, as a LVN;
  • Completed vocational nursing program;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • 1 year of experience as an LVN (must be within the last 3 years);
  • BLS certification;
  • You will need to clear a background check;
  • You will need to have a current California Nursing License with no restrictions;
  • Occasionally climb ramps or stairs or use foot controls;
  • Fingerprint clearance by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) – paid for by Dungarvin;
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus;
  • Must have fingerprint clearance through the State Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigations;
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of 50 lbs;
  • Must have at least six months experience in developmental disabilities preferred.
