LPN or RN Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a LPN or RN to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care;
- Take vitals, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, etc;
- Performs focused interview to identify specific patient needs;
- Follow state and federal mandated standards and procedures;
- Collect, track, and maintain patient history; record any new data;
- Report any unusual or drastic changes in patient behavior/symptoms; seek help from superiors when needed;
- Take instruction from and report updates to registered nurse/overseeing physician;
- Collect samples and monitor catheters;
- Planning and managing patient care according to each patient’s needs;
- Verifying that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately;
- Takes vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure);
- Administer medications and document therapeutic effects;
- Interviewing patients and recording their medical history;
- Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas.
Requirements:
- Clinical experience;
- BLS certified;
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), in good standing;
- Ability to Work Independently with access to RN Supervisor;
- One year prior Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience preferred;
- Current CPR Certification;
- Licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN ) Current VA State License, Registered Nurse (RN) Current VA State license;
- Current PPD or Chest X-Ray;
- Updated resume;
- Preferred 2 years LTC experience;
- Current TB skin test;
- Current CPR Card;
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), in good standing.
