Our company is looking for a Personal Care Aide to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer meals in accordance with dietary needs;
- Provide assistance to patients in day to day activities;
- Assists client to and from daily activities;
- Reminds client to take self-administered medications;
- Observe and report any changes in client’s condition;
- Complete other assignments as requested and assigned.�
- Organize self to carry out visits/shifts and tasks;
- Maintain a clean, safe and healthy client environment;
- Utilize basic infection control measures;
- Light housekeeping;
- Remind clients to take medication at the appropriate time;
- Running errands;
- Household chores, e.g. laundry, dish washing, light clean and organizing;
- Deliver food to client, helping with queuing;
- Helping with bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
Requirements:
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed;
- Able to work a consistant schedule;
- Diet;
- Light Housekeeping;
- Grooming;
- Up-to-date car insurance in your name, registration and valid Driver’s License;
- Ability to commit to provided availability and ability to work weekends;
- Dependable;
- One year of personal care experience or willingness and ability to complete CPNC approved training program;
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to document daily progress notes;
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time;
- Able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch and reach, walk up and down steps, and be able to push or pull 75 pounds a minimum of 5 times per shift;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly;
- Previous experience with one to one and / or two to one care giving.
