Our company is looking for a Radiologic Technologist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and complete appropriate paperwork;
- Monitor equipment performance and takes the appropriate measures to have problems resolved;
- Perform diagnostic and radiographic exams, while following established procedures for patient care, operations and safety;
- Understanding the x-ray and processing equipment so that it will be used correctly;
- Adhering to established Patient First policies and procedures;
- Perform diagnostic and radiographic exams using portable x-ray equipment;
- Understanding and using the automated medical records system;
- Responsible for the operating, using and maintaining medical and office equipment as trained;
- Attending training classes and staff meetings as scheduled;
- Understanding and using the following: Daily Log, X-Ray Listing, Copy Listing, and X-Ray Status Screen;
- Responsible for completion of mandatory educational assignments as provided by Team Leaders, Supervisor or Assistant Director;
- Set up, calibrate, and monitor the operation of radiographic equipment;
- Position patients to obtain proper radiographic images;
- Measure patients to determine correct exposure;
- Conduct all radiographic examinations using portable X-Ray equipment.
Requirements:
- Ability to work weekends and holidays;
- Ability work in a fast-paced healthcare environment;
- IEMA certification & ARRT license required;
- Participate in on call rotation as determined by department;
- Urgent need that can get compliant quickly and start immediately. It’s a 2 to 3 month assignment;
- High school graduate or equivalent;
- One year of clinical experience preferred;
- Must be neat and clean in personal appearance and adhere to hospital dress code;
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); (. After for PA as this is last requirement);
- Ability to communicate technical information in such a way that a patient can understand the procedure and what is expected of them;
- Must be physically and mentally capable of performing all the duties of the position;
- BLS issued through AHA;
