Our company is looking for a Auto Mechanic to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately;
  • Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use;
  • Specialize in vehicle transmission systems;
  • Diagonstic skills, general repairs, timing belts, brakes, tune-ups, and alignments;
  • Disassembles unit and inspects parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and thickness gauges;
  • Ensure equipment and tools are properly maintained;
  • Examine components and general state of vehicle engine to diagnose issues accurately;
  • Maintains maintenance, mileage and expense records for all district vehicles;
  • Maintains records by recording service and repairs of all boats;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Makes recommendations for the purchase of new vehicles and disposal of old vehicles;
  • Installing, repairing, wiring, and maintaining all electrical components found in different vehicles;
  • Replaces and adjusts headlights, and installs and repairs accessories, such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers;
  • Rewires ignition system, lights, and instrument panel;
  • Plans work procedures using charts, technical manuals, and experience.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles;
  • Valid certification (e.g ASE) is a definite plus;
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools required;
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment required to conduct all repairs;
  • 5+ years of automotive repair experience;
  • Spend time explaining the vehicle repair needs to each customer so that they understand what repairs they need;
  • Previous mechanical experience;
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills;
  • Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment as needed;
  • 3+ years of previous Auto Mechanic Experience;
  • Must have own tools;
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check;
  • Previous experience as an auto mechanic;
  • Reliable transportation.
