Our company is looking for a Lead Maintenance Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete written documentation as required;
  • Fill in for Maintenance Manager when necessary;
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot common problems related to;
  • Plumbing;
  • 3+ years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field;
  • Ensures that plumbing system is in compliance with code and working properly at all times;
  • Personally inspects buildings and grounds on a frequent basis to monitor upkeep, safety hazards, wear and tear, repair needs, etc;
  • All employees are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all community residents;
  • Assists with set-up and clean-up for special events;
  • Maintenance on-call duty. (evenings and weekends; not on a rotation);
  • Ensures effective lighting systems throughout community;
  • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance and documents work completed;
  • Complete acceptance walks to ensure that homes have been completed to HavenBrook’s standards prior to transferring to Property Management;
  • Turn units for future occupants;
  • Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary.

Requirements:

  • Collaborates well with others: proactively contributes to group objectives; volunteers to help others;
  • Computer usage and typing skills are essential;
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance;
  • Pneumatics, hydraulics, presses;
  • Air tools, power tools;
  • CPO certification preferred;
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as supervisor, assistant manager, or manager preferred;
  • Is prompt and reliable, and able to perform required duties of the position on a regular, predictable basis;
  • EPA Certification;
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, residents, family members, and outside contacts;
  • High school diploma. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • Formal training and expertise trouble-shooting and repairing HVAC: must be able to replace as well as maintain and repair systems;
  • Able to seek out new methods and willing to incorporate them into existing practices when applicable;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook software preferred;
  • Must be skilled in chiller/boiler maintenance and repair.
