Light Duty Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Light Duty Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Return customers’ cars in clean condition with seats, radios, mirrors, and convenience items returned to original positions;
- Clock in and out of jobs and record time accurately on all jobs;
- Always notify service advisor if damage occurs to any customer or dealership vehicle;
- Provide excellent customer service by providing fast, accurate, and efficient service work to our customers;
- Receive repair orders from advisors and take vehicle to stall areas;
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local safety regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste;
- Assist others in department during downtime to help improve efficiency;
- Perform factory Multipoint inspections on vehicles as required and inform advisor if additional concerns are found or additional work is required;
- Other duties as assigned by management;
- Complete GM technician training, ASE certification, and other training classes required by the dealership;
- Maintain tools, equipment, and stall area with a routine cleaning and maintenance schedule;
- Follow dealership procedures when obtaining parts.
Requirements:
- Ability to utilize computers and other electronic equipment to help diagnose vehicle concerns;
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- ASE Certification preferred;
- Must be able to lift 50lbs;
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
