Truck Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Truck Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety procedures, laws, policies and rules;
- Write service reports that accurately document activities;
- Work overtime as needed;
- Test drive vehicles after repair to verify equipment is in proper working order;
- Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions;
- Repair, replace or rebuild engines and related systems and components;
- Pre-delivery setup and installation on all makes and models of truck engines and related products;
- Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance;
- Communicate with internal and external customers in a manner that promotes a positive relationship;
- Perform assigned tasks in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
Requirements:
- Mobile emergency service vehicle experience a plus;
- Qualified candidates must have a minimum of one to two years of work-related experience;
- Must be a team player and able to work under limited supervision;
- Valid chauffeur’s license (CDL a plus) with clean driving record, physical/drug screen and criminal clearances also required;
- Must be able to provide own tools.
