Our company is looking for a Art Director to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Envision and direct a wide range of art assets from 2D concepts to 3D assets, animation, and VFX;
  • Assist in establishing pipelines for increasing art efficiency;
  • Manages and organizes personal workload and deadlines;
  • Reviewing the work of designers and providing direction and feedback, but knowing when to hand off items to specialists among the team;
  • May lead, develop and executes photography and video assets that that meets brand objectives and maintains brand integrity in all channels;
  • Communicate with cross-functional partners to ensure projects are fully informed and on schedule;
  • Enthusiasm to expand knowledge in keeping with industry evolution;
  • Create and manage original, persuasive, conceptually compelling work for campaigns, content, and experiences with some supervision;
  • Work well with vendor partners (printers, 3D artists, illustrators, freelancers, etc.);
  • Aggregate and select photographs, art, and other design elements for print publication, website and major social media platforms;
  • Drive the creation of a brand look & feel for experiential campaigns;
  • Lead and support the graphic design team to deliver high-performing, quality creative for 2U partner programs;
  • Set project priorities and scope; manage team’s progress and partner with production to deliver against project deadlines;
  • Recruit, commission and direct work from outside artists and illustrators;
  • B.A. or B.S. degree from a four-year accredited university; graphic design or fine arts degree preferred; advanced degree a plus.

Requirements:

  • Body of work should also show an ability to establish and maintain an artistic vision across an entire game;
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Exceptional communication skills; clearly explains design decisions to business partners, product designers, and engineers;
  • Expert typography skills with elevated level of taste and ability to apply modern design aesthetics across projects of varied styles;
  • The ideal Tallwave Art Director candidate will have;
  • Understanding of all aspects of print and/or interactive design;
  • Passion for creating clean, usable designs that are compelling to users;
  • Have an established repeatable and shareable management and design process that encourages collaboration amongst the team;
  • Enthusiasm to expand knowledge in keeping with industry evolution;
  • Familiar with Who What Wear’s editorial voice, aesthetic and style sensibilities;
  • Experience with a wide array of media/channels including print, interactive, broadcast, outdoor and events/displays;
  • Deep and broad understanding of successful art and visual design principles;
  • Able to plan and prioritize while focusing on detail orientation and effective time management;
  • You have an ability to create both 2D and 3D assets to a high standard;
  • Become a key “voice” in client projects advocating for design and how it can be utilized.
