Director of Revenue Operations Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Director of Revenue Operations to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Build rapport, alignment, and operational advocacy among senior management and the executive team;
- Ensure the maintenance of seamless collaboration and continuity across all revenue streams and the customer engagement lifecycle;
- Evaluate, design, and implement the processes, programs, and systems to support Canopy’s revenue growth;
- Mentor and develop team into a highly effective and skilled revenue operations organization with deep system expertise;
- Training: Participate in the training of new and current sales employees;
- Proposals: Assist sales team in creating proposals that balance customer and company needs;
- Data Management: Manage collection and evaluation of sales data to improve effectiveness of team and campaigns;
- Partner with other departments to ensure successful execution of key projects;
- Support the vision and values of the company by setting an example and demonstrating desired behaviors;
- Partner with Marketing Operations team to ensure the seamless transition of MQLs to the sales teams;
- Actively hire, manage, develop a team of sales operations professionals;
- Own the models for productivity and team planning, surfacing insights and recommendations to leadership based on these models and analyses;
- Collaborate with our Business Intelligence team to take our analysis to the next level, as well as automate reporting;
- Lead roll out of major sales changes such as new pricing and packaging;
- Improve sales and CS productivity by simplifying processes and evaluating new tools, enabling our team to work smarter.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5+ years of operations and system architecture experience within a go-to-market function, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment;
- Exceptional business communication and leadership abilities and have proven experience of inspiring and steering personality types across the board;
- Very comfortable with Salesforce. Bonus for being proficient with Zuora, and/or familiarity with other subscription management softwares;
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience;
- Capable of extracting a narrative from big data analysis and formulating a hypothesis and recommendation;
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is expected;
- Analytic Analysis: Ability to analyze large data sets for statistically significant trends;
- Strong Communication and presentation skills;
- Diverse skillset spanning sales and marketing operations, reporting and analysis, sales tech and martech stacks, and sales enablement;
- Passionate about mentoring and developing others through servant leadership;
- Passionate about helping customers achieve their business goals;
- Exceptional communicator, both written and verbal, with high attention to detail;
- Flexible and adaptive to evolving business needs and processes;
- 6 years of experience in sales, marketing, and/or account management, or a combination of these areas;
- Dedication to meet and exceed team goals.
