Education Manager develops all adult and youth educational programming of an institution. May require a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being an Education Manager is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experiences and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Additionally, Education Manager performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Our company is looking for a Education Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Previous experience in Head Start is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment;

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience providing education or social services to young children and/or families;
  • Knowledge of Creative Curriculum;
  • Three (3) years management and supervisory experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or a related field strongly preferred;
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and databases, Rapitone desired;
  • Must have own transportation and ability to work in Rockville and DC office as well as broker offices across our service area;
  • Effective project management, planning, and organizational skills;
  • Self-confident team player with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent customer service provider and oriented to solve problems;
  • Able to meet time-sensitive deadlines, multitask, and work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Able and willing to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend work;
  • Excellent verbal, written, and proofreading skills;
  • Experience managing a small team;
  • Three to five years professional work experience. Experience in education and training planning desired;
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items to facilitate events;
  • Must have a working telephone or cell phone;
  • Must at least have auto liability insurance and must keep it current;
  • Must consent to and pass state felony, Central Registry Check, and/or FBI background check when applicable;
  • Must consent to and pass agency drug testing.
