IT Director

IT directors , including management information systems (MIS) directors, are in charge of their organizations’ information technology (IT) departments, and they directly supervise other employees. IT directors help to determine the business requirements for IT systems, and they implement the policies that have been chosen by top executives. IT directors often have a direct role in hiring members of the IT department. It is their job to ensure the availability of data and network services by coordinating IT activities. IT directors also oversee the financial aspects of their department, such as budgeting.

Responsibilities:

  • Working collaboratively to use technology and include technology applications as an integral part of day-to-day operations;
  • Develop a long-term technology investment & operating plan clearly linked to the organization’s core mission, strategy and financial goals;

  • Develop strategy as it relates to the organization’s IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, communication systems);
  • Set up and trouble shoot equipment like iPhones, iPads, and Android;
  • Vendor selection for large purchases of storage and compute pools used by the dealership;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned;
  • Identifies gaps in system and human resources as needed to provide adequate IT support of business priorities;
  • Leads the development of custom in-house applications as well as integration and support for Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software applications;
  • Developing capabilities (functional and managerial) to operate in diverse circumstances;
  • Additional responsibilities consistent with maintaining a functional business environment;
  • Work safely without presenting a threat to self or others;
  • Demonstrates credibility as a business partner to ensure business and technology decisions are reached to support business goals and objectives;
  • Expertise in IT BCP/DR (strategies and operations) and information security (policies, practices, and technologies);
  • Provides overall direction for projects within systems.

Requirements:

  • Passion for innovation and the ability to anticipate future needs based on growth and market trends;
  • Google Suite / Compliant Pro (~500 + users);
  • Experience with Agile, SCRUM, Kanban is a plus;
  • Strong communication skills from executive level to individual employee level;
  • Limited Global infrastructure and application support to the Asian region;
  • Planning & Collaboration – Advanced;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned;
