Our company is looking for a Plant Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs job hazard analysis to identify loss potential of our systems and processes;
  • Develops, publishes and raises general level of awareness of safety and environmental programs consistent with regulations and company policy;
  • Supervise employees in designated areas for effective production;
  • Collaborate with production planning team by phone and email, coordinating activities and dealing with ambiguity around changing business needs daily;
  • Willingness and ability to resolve problems and jump right in to help;
  • Ensures continuous improvement plans are developed and implemented to ensure short and long range goals are in process;
  • Manage a team of supervisors, leads and laborers to effectively perform production operations activities;
  • Willingness and ability to work weekends, holidays, and/or off shift hours;
  • Proactively champion a culture focused on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), driving a zero-incident culture;
  • 0-25% travel may be required;
  • Own plant P&L, budgets and forecasts;
  • Maintain safety standards for all assigned areas by ensuring safety requirements are met and policies are adhered to;
  • Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs;
  • Ensure that suitable production related equipment and tooling is established and maintained at a high level of readiness;
  • Provide leadership and strategy to ensure the success of the facility.

Requirements:

  • Drive for Results & Action Oriented;
  • Good analytical and conceptual problem solving skills to identify problems, develop and evaluate options and implement solutions;
  • Local candidates only;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications;
  • At least 1 year of management experience managing 10 or more employees;
  • Strong decision-making and people management skills;
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing/metal fabrication environments (including operations, maintenance, engineering and safety.);
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution;
  • Prior experience leading, coaching and developing a team and delivering performance metrics through others;
  • Tier 1 Automotive Experience is required;
  • Six Sigma Black Belt;
  • Plastics injection molding experience;
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity;
  • Four-year educational degree or equivalent work experience;
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Certifications preferred.
