Warehouse Coordinator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Warehouse Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- verifying (recounting) orders received by others to ensure accuracy of incoming merchandise;
- Picking orders to be shipped, ensure proper labels and paperwork have been applied before shipping;
- Picking customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped;
- Ensuring the accuracy of all shipping/receiving documents and maintaining all records relative to shipping/receiving activities;
- Partner closely with the warehouse management team to ensure warehouse activities are effectively scheduled and executed;
- Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel;
- Perform warehouse team lead responsibilities, to include coordinating, assigning work activities, reporting and follow-up;
- Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned;
- Manages the wave release process to be as close to just in time without the warehouse staff running out of work;
- Monitor and coordinate the shipping cockpit and dock activities, specifically, the physical warehouse activities and transactions to ensure accuracy;
- In conjunction with the inventory control coordinator, create, assign, and complete inventory control tasks;
- Create and coordinate product put away activities;
- Creates and releases waves and manages tasks for picking product for shipment;
- Investigate product shortages and rewaves shipments as needed;
- Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of computer systems within warehouse including MS Outlook;
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is required;
- 1 – 3 years;
- Motivated;
- Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel;
- Two-years in a lead warehouse role, directly in a warehouse, logistics, transportation or distribution center environment;
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs;
- Must have excellent mathematical skills;
- Candidate must be highly organized and efficient;
- Multi-Tasker;
- Good communicator, respectful and Service Orientated;
- Safety oriented;
- Completion of High School required. College education an asset;
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Preferred, 2-year degree in supply chain management or inventory control management.
