Our company is looking for a Principal Scientist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports employee engagement activities within the team;
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis;
  • Coordinate equipment and supply needs/purchases;
  • Planning and execution of biologic research studies;
  • Independently develop and validate assays including automation and execution;
  • Technology and/or project leadership for internal and/or external projects;
  • Development of project plans and effective participation in SOW generation and execution;
  • Grant writing, manuscript preparation and external presentation;
  • Generate intellectual properties, publish research in peer-reviewed conferences and journals , Perform additional duties, as required;
  • Design, simulate and test internal protection of low voltage (<1000 V) power electronic converters;
  • Responsible for On Time Delivery of project milestones and efficient team member utilization;
  • Validate research findings through controller / power hardware-in-loop testing;
  • Assesses Associate performance and Leadership qualities and enables the implementation of associate career development plans;
  • Advocates for DBS; actively participates in and provides leadership for the use of the tools;
  • Create research ideas and proposals, secure buy-in from internal / external sponsors.

Requirements:

  • Development experience in biologics, parenterals, combination drug products, or modified release drug products is a plus;
  • Up to 15% domestic and international travel may be required;
  • A solid understanding of analytical, organic, and physical chemistry;
  • PhD in Chemistry or related discipline with 10+ years of pharmaceutical analytical chemistry experience, or BS/MS with 14+ years of experience;
  • Strong experience in IVD Product Development, preferably with technical expertise in IHC and/or ISH assays on automated staining platforms;
  • Implements the organization strategy and connects the team’s work to the organization’s purpose;
  • Travel expectations within this role are low (5% to 10%);
  • Responsible for On Time Delivery of project milestones and efficient team member utilization;
  • BSc in a Scientific discipline, MS or PhD preferred;
  • Directly leads scientific associates;
  • Minimum 8+ years of industry experience (PhD);
  • Supports employee engagement activities within the team;
  • Experience with FDA and/or EU CE-IVD quality requirements and the preparation of relevant documents for the submission to these agencies;
  • Demonstrable experience of driving the successful development and release of products through regulatory submissions;
  • The candidate should have the desire and ability to mentor scientists towards timebound goals.
