Our company is looking for a Editorial Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation for Editorial Board meetings and conferences;
  • Support and help monitor submission systems, article flow, and special issues;
  • Contribute to social media initiatives and support a variety of marketing initiatives and activities;
  • Serve as a vital information resource (and front-line troubleshooter) for Editors-in-Chief, Editorial Board members, and society partners;
  • Respond to queries from authors, authors, reviewers, and other contributors;
  • Understand and contribute to meeting the annual targets for journal submission, publication, and transfer volumes;
  • Assist and advise on processing of rights and permissions requests;
  • Input and maintain relevant data to systems, such as JFlow, CMS, etc;
  • Manage and monitor invoices and payment requests;
  • Coordinate metrics – assist in reporting “key performance indicators,” such as article output, usage, citations, and media coverage;
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager;
  • Provide ad hoc journal and team administration.

Requirements:

  • Responsible for a variety of prop organization and management, cleaning, maintenance, studio and office support;
  • Desire to work on a collaborative team with high standards;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Web/Interactive Design experience a plus;
  • Positive attitude;
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Graphic Design or related field;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Must be physically able to lift 40 pounds or more;
  • Highly motivated with ability to work in a deadline-driven environment;
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
