Our company is looking for a Editorial Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation for Editorial Board meetings and conferences;
- Support and help monitor submission systems, article flow, and special issues;
- Contribute to social media initiatives and support a variety of marketing initiatives and activities;
- Serve as a vital information resource (and front-line troubleshooter) for Editors-in-Chief, Editorial Board members, and society partners;
- Respond to queries from authors, authors, reviewers, and other contributors;
- Understand and contribute to meeting the annual targets for journal submission, publication, and transfer volumes;
- Assist and advise on processing of rights and permissions requests;
- Input and maintain relevant data to systems, such as JFlow, CMS, etc;
- Manage and monitor invoices and payment requests;
- Coordinate metrics – assist in reporting “key performance indicators,” such as article output, usage, citations, and media coverage;
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager;
- Provide ad hoc journal and team administration.
Requirements:
- Responsible for a variety of prop organization and management, cleaning, maintenance, studio and office support;
- Desire to work on a collaborative team with high standards;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Web/Interactive Design experience a plus;
- Positive attitude;
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Graphic Design or related field;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Must be physically able to lift 40 pounds or more;
- Highly motivated with ability to work in a deadline-driven environment;
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
