Our company is looking for a Accounting Intern to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with rental branches and other departments;
- Assist in accounting schedules & filing;
- Involved with A/P & A/R functions; cash receipts & petty cash;
- Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed;
- Perform miscellaneous administrativeduties as needed;
- Special projects as assigned;
- Shadowing Office Manager as she performs A/R duties;
- Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior;
- Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations;
- Serves as receptionist to answer incoming calls and greet visitors;
- Prepare for and participate in conferences and other opportunities of learning afforded by company;
- Run checks, match stubs with invoices for payment and file invoices;
- Monthly financial statement preparation;
- Completing bank and account reconcilements;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Passion for data integrity, process definition and organizational alignment;
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility;
- GPA of 3.0 or higher;
- Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers;
- Possesses energy, enthusiasm to drive results; action oriented;
- Must be actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting;
- Candidate should be working towards a degree in Accounting;
- Experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable or bookkeeping preferred;
- Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA;
- Must be a current Senior (graduating by December 2020) in college/university working towards your Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting;
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship from our company now or in the future;
- Candidate must maintain confidentiality of personnel records;
- Must be at a Senior enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s degree program, majoring in Accounting;
- On Track for a Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline;
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and leadership potential.
