Our company is looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Full-time staff may functionally supervise part-time employees;
  • Assists with departmental educational workshops and training for staff, faculty and students;
  • Enters, updates and deletes items into multiple databases;
  • Performs other related duties within the job grade and job classification as assigned;
  • Provides high-quality customer service and software support for students, faculty, staff and community patrons;
  • Participate in special promotions and assist customer service in pro-actively “selling” these promotions;
  • Has the authority to make price adjustments as necessary within established guidelines;
  • Ability to coach, mentor develop and teach others;
  • Maintain up to date customer contact information and track all pertinent sales activity and opportunities;
  • Recruit and hire;
  • Perform data entry necessary to enter, maintain and perform inquiry functions in the computer system;
  • Main focus of position is promoting and selling manufactured, PPR and “NEW” products;
  • Present new ideas;
  • Assist in the filing and storage of customer order records and maintaining customers future order backlog according to procedure;
  • Review and evaluate your team.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Experience working with PC/Macintosh hardware and software;
  • Basic level keyboarding, grammar, math, Microsoft Office;
  • Proficient written, verbal and interpersonal skills;
  • Associates degree;
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment;
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Experience working with library functions and circulation systems;
  • Mimimum of two years of experience in a library, computer lab or customer service setting;
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks/responsibilities and the ability to prioritize work;
  • Sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population;
