Data Entry Assistant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Data Entry Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Correcting inaccuracies and validating output;
- Maintain efficient rate of productivity and high rate of accuracy;
- Input alphanumeric data from source documents accurately and efficiently;
- Keeping information confidential;
- Creating style masters in our POS system;
- Entering and receiving purchase orders in our POS system;
- Communicating with vendors and our buying team, handling returns to vendors, updating On Order report, issuing Debit and Credit memos;
- Analytics- weekly reporting; analyzing sales, identifying top sellers and writing reorders, identifying under-performing styles and entering markdowns;
- Seeing the merchandise process through from order entry to product receipt to merchandise processing and distribution;
- Reviewing and make corrections to entered information;
- Completing support tickets generated by staff within the scheduling system;
- Validating accuracy of existing data through periodic audits;
- Preparing and filtering data to be aggregated for reporting;
- Reviewing time-sheets for accuracy and reconciling discrepancies;
- Resolves inconsistencies by contacting the source for clarification.
Requirements:
- Ability to look at computer screen for up to 8 hours;
- Flexibility and willingness to learn and be utilized in all areas of operation;
- Must have completed high school or equivalent;
- Must be punctual, reliable, highly organized, and honest;
- Must have some Excel skills;
- Must have STRONG written and communication skills;
- Must have reliable transportation;
- Must have strong basic math skills;
- Good organization skills;
- High School diploma (Bachelor’s degree a plus);
- Speed and efficiency in processing data;
- One-year experience working as a data enter assistant;
- Able to work unsupervised;
- Strong communication and time management skills;
- Good communication skis.
