Payroll Processor Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Payroll Processor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Other duties as assigned;
 - Assist employees with questions and concerns regarding payroll;
 - May assist with Accounts Payable as requested;
 - Coordinate with division management from General Manager to Vice Presidents regarding payroll status;
 - Distribute live checks;
 - Professional appearance and demeanor are requested;
 - Maintain safe & organized work area;
 - Handling time and attendance reporting;
 - Prepare specific reports required for final time sheets for division;
 - Administration of benefits, entering new employees into the system, ensuring they understand benefits and sign up before deadlines;
 - Upload/enter all employee payroll time/timesheets for the assigned division on a daily basis ensuring accuracy of employee time data;
 - Process third party vendor files, as needed, and reviews and works to immediately resolve errors or warnings;
 - Review and answer wage withholding orders and ensure proper garnishment procedures are followed by 3 rd party vendor;
 - Answering questions and solving issues with employee payroll;
 - Works with appropriate resources to resolve any inquiries and transactions in a timely, accurate fashion.
 
Requirements:
- 6 months payroll processing experience preferred;
 - Proficiency with MS Office Suite;
 - Ability to type 35 WPM;
 - Intermediate to strong skills in excel;
 - One to four years of experience processing payroll;
 - Ability to communicate effectively on all levels;
 - Experience with ADP;
 - Associates or bachelor’s degree a plus;
 - Ability to read, write and speak English;
 - Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
 - Strong oral and written communication skills;
 - Strong organizational skills;
 - Strong interpersonal skills;
 - Ability to work independently and follow directions;
 - Ability to work well independently.
