Building Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Building Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor ongoing automations for potential flaws or optimizations;
- Work with IT to ensure build servers run efficiently and are using all resources available;
- Must possess understanding of plumbing systems;
- Replace belts, motor, bearings, actuators, and values on an AHU and Cooling Tower;
- Trouble shoots a power induction unit (P.I.U. or F.P.T.U.) to determine if operating properly;
- Responsible for preventative maintenance of an AHU;
- Repair and replace door closures and door hardware as needed;
- Work with client engineers to merge cherry-picked commits and troubleshoot issues with builds;
- Inspecting and evaluating all building systems on a regular basis,
- Responsible for adjustment and repair of security systems;
- Responsible for the preventative maintenance of a systems pump;
- Directing and coordinating subcontractor activity for maintenance of repairs,
- Responsible for the replacement of wax bowel seal and remounting of toilet urinals and lavatories;
- Troubleshoot operations failures and re-establish building services under minimal supervision;
- Responsible for testing & adjustment of chemical treatment levels in water system.
Requirements:
- Experience with Windows and Unix based environments;
- Understanding of distributed version control systems;
- Strong attention to minute details;
- Experience using scripting languages such as Groovy or Python;
- Artifact repositories (e.g Artifactory, NPM, NuGet);
- At least 2 years building Unity with Jenkins for PC, Android, iOS platforms;
- Degree or equivalent experience;
- Familiarity with maintaining large C++ code bases;
- Solid understanding of multi-tier distributed architectures;
- BitBucket;
- Very well versed with Git and Perforce;
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution;
- Extensive knowledge of maven and associated artifact concepts;
- Strong background in Jenkins and related continuous integration tools;
- Computer Science degree or equivalent.
