Housekeeping Attendant Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Housekeeping Attendant to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Sterilize various tools and equipment;
- Move reasonably small furniture as necessary;
- Operates commercial laundry and cleaning equipment;
- Reporting repairs and replacements needed when encountered on job;
- Provides exceptional guest service and respond s promptly to guests’ inquiries and co ncerns;
- In charge of vacuuming equipment; vacuum and clean carpets and perform further treatments such as shampoo or stain-removal as needed;
- Dust and polish furniture and room accessories as needed;
- Maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products; ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of products;
- Replaces and provides all linens as necessary in accordance with standards including making beds;
- Other duties as assigned;
- May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects;
- May assist with other duties as assigned;
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing;
- Regularly cleaning restrooms, common areas, floors (using a mop/broom/vacuum);
- Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail;
- Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with the ability to stand for long lengths of time;
- Physically able to do 8 hour shifts of manual work and lift items up to 25 lbs;
- Organized and able to follow a schedule;
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience or knowledge, skills, and mental ability equivalent to 2 years of high school education;
- Ability to follow verbal directions;
- Ability to handle stressful situations with poise and professionalism;
- Completes job related tasks assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor & Maintenance Director;
- Maintains a high level of cleanliness & safety throughout designated areas;
- Must have reliable transportation;
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States;
- Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Must be experienced at cleaning with a keen eye for details and be aware of safety;
- Report directly to Housekeeping Supervisor with strong leadership skills.
