Attorney Position
Seeking an Attorney to help with drafting motions and attending hearings to represent clients in court. Seeking a Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its General Liability Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have experience defending a broad range of general liability claims, including transportation, construction, product liability, and commercial liability matters in both federal and state courts.
Responsibilities:

Review and prepare summaries of medical records to support case strategy and client advocacy.
Draft motions and appear at hearings and court proceedings.
Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions as needed.
Take and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
Draft initial, interim, pre-trial, trial, and appellate reports and filings.
Respond to discovery requests and prepare discovery-related motions.
Draft motions for summary judgment.
Regularly attend court appearances and advocate for clients.
Manage litigation matters efficiently from inception through resolution.
Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant litigation experience, preferably in general liability defense.
• Admission to practice law in Illinois.
• Experience with defense of transportation, construction, product liability, and/or commercial liability claims.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience drafting and responding to discovery-related motions.
• Experience taking and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
• Experience drafting and arguing summary judgment motions.
• Strong courtroom and litigation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively.
