Job Description
Registered Nurse - Surgical Observation
Schedule
NIGHTS - 12HR: 7P-7A / 7A-7P NIGHT/DAY ROTATION. 36 hours per week available. 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Must work at least 1 holiday per contract.
Assignment Details
Contract Duration: 16 weeks.
Requirements

• Active NY RN license
• AHA BLS certification
• 2 years of acute hospital experience with 1 recent year in surgical observation.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non U.S. candidates.

Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in the surgical observation unit.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote safe, evidence-based nursing practice.
Monitor and assess patient conditions postoperatively.
Document patient care and interventions accurately.
Educate patients and families regarding postoperative care and recovery.

Compliance / Notes
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. Must be flexible according to the needs of the facility's schedule and may be required to float to other units if needed.
