Bookeeper (Accounting/Finance)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized QuickBooks Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting and financial recordkeeping activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end reporting. This role requires strong QuickBooks experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized QuickBooks Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting and financial recordkeeping activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end reporting. This role requires strong QuickBooks experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop.
Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Prepare and process invoices, customer payments, and vendor payments.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
Perform monthly account reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
Enter and categorize financial transactions accurately and timely.
Maintain general ledger and ensure accounting records are up to date.
Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related reporting.
Prepare financial reports, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports.
Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on collections as needed.
Maintain vendor files, customer records, and supporting documentation.
Support tax preparation by organizing financial records and working with external CPAs or tax advisors.
Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues promptly.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
2+ years of bookkeeping experience.
Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop.
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
