Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Tyler, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/22/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Nurse in the healthcare organizations facility. This role involves providing specialized patient care to adult and geriatric populations, emphasizing telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical treatments. The position requires adaptability to unit acuity and compliance with clinical and operational standards. Job Details Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS certification, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Medical Surgical with Telemetry, community hospital experience preferred, valid state or compact license in hand at the time of submittal. Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Additional Unit Information: Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Patient Care: Serving adult and geriatric patient populations with a daily census of 36 beds and a patient-to-staff ratio of 1:6. Clinical Skills: Proficiency in managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP, blood products, cardiac telemetry, central line care, CVA management, ER holding, feeding tube care, heparin protocols, HFNC, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, PPE, cardiac drips, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, PICC line management, post-MI care, pre/post-catheterization, pre/post cardiac surgery, dialysis, spinal cord injury, IV starts, surgical drains, remote telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, rapid response, wound care, and use of specialized equipment. Additional Requirements: Must complete onboarding core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing. Modules are completed onsite during orientation, with hours ranging from 2 to 6, depending on the discipline.
