Please note: while this position is based primarily in Maple Grove, the incumbent may be asked to travel to our Coon Rapids location on occasion to assist with coverage.
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
Performs procedures with minimal supervision.
Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
Solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
Likely to provide case management for patients and their families.
Sometimes serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials.
May provide palliative care for the patient and their families as needed.
Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals, weekend or after-hour calls
May mentor new advanced practice providers
May precept APP students
Qualifications Nurse Practitioner Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program for nursing education
Current Minnesota RN license and current certification as Nurse Practitioner
Prefer previous experience in oncology

Physician Assistant Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Minimum of three years' experience as a practicing Physician Assistant
Prefer previous experience in oncology
