HR Generalist/Employee Relations/Payroll

LHH is seeking an experienced Payroll & HR Generalist for a 6-month onsite contract opportunity in Gwinnett County. This role is ideal for a human resources professional with strong payroll processing experience and a well-rounded background in HR operations. The selected candidate will support payroll administration while assisting with key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and employee lifecycle activities.
Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Review and audit payroll data, including timekeeping records, deductions, and employment changes.
Respond to employee payroll-related questions and resolve discrepancies.
Human Resources Coordinate onboarding activities and new hire orientation.
Prepare offer letters, employment documentation, and new hire paperwork.
Assist with recruiting efforts, including interview scheduling and candidate communications.
Support employee relations initiatives and address routine employee inquiries.
Process employment status changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Assist with benefits administration and annual open enrollment activities.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Support HR projects and administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of recent experience in payroll processing and human resources.
Strong knowledge of bi-weekly payroll administration and timekeeping systems.
Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and employment changes.
Prior experience assisting with benefits administration and open enrollment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/payroll systems.
Preferred Skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
High level of accuracy and commitment to compliance.
