Work Environment

This full-time position requires the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work onsite at our outpatient office, located in the vibrant Huntington Station area. Regular business hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a work-life balance that fosters well-being among our staff.

Key Responsibilities

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Providing medication management, including the prescribing of psychiatric medications and ongoing monitoring of treatment efficacy.
• Collaborating extensively with primary care providers, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care pathways for patients.
• Providing essential crisis intervention and emotional support in high-stress situations, ensuring that patients have the resources and assistance they need.
• Engaging in community outreach efforts to enhance mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and promote mental wellness initiatives within the community.
• Offering therapeutic interventions, including counseling and psychoeducation, to empower patients in managing their mental health.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA guidelines, ensuring that patient privacy is upheld in every case.

Compensation and Benefits
