About the Position

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week with some weekend coverage required (3 weekend shifts per contract). 72-hour orientation provided.

• 4:1 patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic electronic medical record system with telemetry experience required

• First-time travelers welcome with at least 1 year of PCU or step-down experience
• Care for adult and geriatric populations with diverse diagnoses including trauma, TBI, fractures, pneumonia, and post-surgical patients

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, DOU, IMC, or step-down experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation experience required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Proficiency in key clinical skills including cardiac drip titration, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, central line management, and wound care
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal supervisor)
• Ability to complete urgent fingerprinting requirements for Ohio compliance
