Account Payable Clerk

Job Overview Pierian Services, a leading provider of comprehensive IT solutions and consulting services, is seeking a meticulous and organised Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. We specialise in helping businesses streamline their processes and leverage technology effectively, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to support our financial operations. In this Full-Time role, you will be responsible for managing the complete accounts payable cycle, ensuring that all supplier invoices are processed accurately and paid in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of accounting principles. This position offers a competitive annual salary of $28,000 - $38,000 . Responsibilities Process a high volume of supplier invoices, ensuring they are accurately coded and authorised. Match invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes. Prepare and execute payment runs via BACS and other electronic methods. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or queries promptly. Maintain accurate and organised financial records and documentation. Assist the finance team with month-end closing procedures and reporting. Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth payment processes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the accounts payable function. Qualifications Proven experience working as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar finance role. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with strong MS Excel skills. Exceptional accuracy and a high level of attention to detail. Excellent organisational and time-management abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable Attributes Experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks. AAT qualification or currently studying towards a relevant accounting certificate. Previous experience in the IT or technology sector would be an advantage.
