As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will respond to security-related concerns, report observations, and work collaboratively with site personnel. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.91 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue09:30 AM - 08:00 PMThur05:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel. Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and maintain professional communication with site personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements: Have at least one year of security‑related experience. Possess a college degree. Be at least 21 years of age. Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred. Possession of a guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
