Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing clinical assessment and therapeutic services tailored to individual needs, while diligently developing and implementing comprehensive, person-centered treatment plans.
• Conducting ongoing evaluations to monitor treatment progress and adjusting methods as necessary to align with client goals.
• Collaboratively working with clients to cultivate essential coping mechanisms, problem-solving skills, and effective communication strategies.
• Acting as a knowledgeable guide to educational resources and community services, facilitating client access to various external supports and resources.
• Documenting all clinical interactions and treatment plans in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies using secure digital platforms.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adults aged 18 and older who are grappling with various mental health conditions that hinder their ability to maintain stability in the community. These clients will benefit from your expertise in crafting individualized service plans that enhance their quality of life and offer pathways to recovery.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

• A Master’s degree or higher in fields such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current professional license in the state of Georgia, including any of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist (PsyD).
• The ability to practice independently, demonstrating sound clinical judgment without requiring supervision.
• A clean disciplinary record with no pending actions against your license.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records and telehealth platforms to deliver care via digital channels.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will also possess:

• Experience providing direct clinical services, with evidence of improving patient outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an empathetic nature that fosters trust and collaboration with clients.
• Robust computer literacy skills and a reliable internet connection to support remote services.

Compensation and Benefits
