The Serene Unity Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist, specializing as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW, to provide high-quality therapeutic services in a remote setting. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, providing flexibility while maintaining a supportive and collaborative digital work culture. Our therapists have access to advanced telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems, which enable seamless communication with both clients and interdisciplinary team members. The operational hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, though some flexibility may be necessary to accommodate the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand each patient’s unique experiences and subsequently develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing tools such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support individual needs.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, actively engaging clients in discussions that foster resilience and mental well-being.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, coordinating treatment efforts that may include medication management.
• Provide support during crises and mental health emergencies, equipping patients with coping strategies to manage distress.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions while making referrals to community resources to enhance their support systems.
• Maintain precise, confidential documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring ethical standards are always upheld.
• Actively participate in regular case conferences and team meetings, contributing insights that promote a culture of continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge of best practices and current cultural competencies in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center is dedicated to serving a diverse clientele, including those from underrepresented backgrounds, who may have previously faced barriers to accessing quality mental health services. As a licensed mental health therapist, you will play a vital role in addressing a broad spectrum of psychological issues, from anxiety and depression to trauma-related disorders, all while implementing culturally relevant strategies that resonate with our clients' lived experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized institution.
• A current and valid professional license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• A strong foundation in mental health disorders, along with a familiarity with diverse treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated experience in providing therapy in both individual and group settings, employing culturally responsive techniques to engage a variety of clients.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that foster trust and rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Proficient use of electronic health record (EHR) systems, showcasing technological fluency necessary for modern therapeutic settings.
• A commitment to maintaining silence during sensitive discussions, ensuring ethical guidelines and confidentiality are prioritized.
• A collaborative spirit, able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on the mission of delivering exceptional care.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working with multicultural populations and understanding issues related to cultural competence in therapy.
• Experience with teletherapy and digital communication tools used in remote client engagement.
• Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities or cultural competency training are an advantage.
