Citrus Psychotherapy Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote telehealth team. As a vital part of our organization, you will deliver professional mental health services to a diverse client base, ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care. This role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus, reflecting the value we place on mental health professionals.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your home while utilizing our advanced telehealth platform. You will be working alongside a team of professional mental health counselors, offering mutual support and collaborative care approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and interviews to assess client needs, accurately documenting each case from initial consultation through the completion of therapy.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based approaches and address the unique circumstances of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment for open discussion and healing.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress, adapting treatment strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes. This includes completing necessary progress notes and updates in electronic health records.
• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals including doctors, nurses, and social workers to create a coordinated care plan for clients, ensuring comprehensive support.
• Assist in managing referrals to additional services and specialists as required, maintaining communication with psychiatrists and hospital staff for clients in acute care settings.
• Proactively identify behaviors that may hinder the recovery process and implement strategies to support clients and their families in navigating mental health challenges.
• Educate family members and primary caregivers on best practices to support their loved ones' recovery, providing them with practical tools and resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Our telehealth framework enables us to reach underserved populations across Georgia, making mental health care accessible to those in need, regardless of their location. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring these clients have the support and resources necessary to transition towards better mental health.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as either LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to manage documentation and client information efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with clients suffering from co-occurring disorders related to mental health and substance abuse.
• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• In-depth knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their impact on mental health, including prescribed medications.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to engage with clients effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong sense of empathy and understanding, which is essential in building trusting therapeutic relationships.
