Great Valley Counseling Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team in Savannah, Georgia. This remote role focuses on providing comprehensive, evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals grappling with various mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for assessing client needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and implementing effective therapeutic interventions that promote mental wellness and recovery.

Work Environment\n

This position offers a flexible work setting, primarily operating remotely, with the opportunity to engage with clients through telehealth platforms. While the core working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some evening and weekend hours may be required on a rotating basis to accommodate clients' needs. You will function as part of a supportive and collaborative team, allowing for continuous learning and professional development.

Key Responsibilities\n

Your daily activities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
\n
• Collaborating with clients to co-create tailored treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, preferences, and goals.
\n
• Delivering evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) designed specifically for mood disorders.
\n
• Educating clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to promote understanding and engagement in the treatment process.
\n
• Monitoring client progress through regular check-ins and progress notes, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to enhance outcomes.
\n
• Coordinating care with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to treatment.
\n
• Participating in ongoing professional development by staying current on research, trends, and best practices in the treatment of mood disorders.

• Maintaining accurate documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in line with ethical and legal standards.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license in Georgia as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
\n
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practices.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective relationships with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will enhance your candidacy:

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience specializing in the treatment of mood disorders.
